WEB-BASED EHS MANAGEMENT TOOLS

Business Challenge:  A major semiconductor equipment manufacturer sought to integrate 47 different EHS databases into a single web-based EHS management system.

STC specialists helped the client to select the best ASP system, and examined each database to determine how to incorporate it. We designed detailed work-flow paths so that EHS professionals and line managers could access and carry out their own scheduled action items, which were synchronized with all of the other EHS team members’ tasks. Regulatory information checklists and support tools were accessible within the system, further helping the team meet its EHS responsibilities.

To bring our clients effective tools for EHS management, STC draws on modern web-based information management systems- typically those using an Application Service Provider (ASP) platform rather than in-house software and hardware. Any facility with access to the Internet can be included directly (and rapidly) into its company’s interactive framework for managerial decisions. No software to buy; no systems to load; no complex training needed.

STC professionals help clients identify the right ASP platform to meet their needs; customize work-flow accountability requirements and regulatory compliance mandates to meet their facility-specific needs; design new metrics and standards to accommodate the new capabilities; and facilitate efficient integration of existing databases into their new ASP-based information management system. These systems promote sound EHS decision-making, especially for multi-facility companies. In most cases, clients meet their business objectives and save money by investing in these 21st-century tools.

  • Access EHS data and documents worldwide
  • Improve communications
  • Establish consistent standards across large organizations
  • Facilitate decision making
  • Minimize software & hardware costs
